Frequently Asked Questions

At All Things Aerial, the complete satisfaction of our customers is our top priority. Check out some of our frequently asked questions below to get the information you’re looking for.

ARE YOU LEGALLY ALLOWED TO FLY? ARE YOUR DRONES REGISTERD WITH THE FAA?

Any person operating an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) between .5 and 55 pounds for commercial purposes is required to have an FAA part 107 Certification and have registered their drone with the FAA. Commercial use is defined as exchanging flights or services for compensation of any type. We are happy to provide you with a copy of our pilot’s FAA 107 certification and registration.

DO YOU HAVE FULL LIABILITY INSURANCE?

Yes! Any person flying a drone for commercial purposes is required to carry flight liability insurance. This protects the pilot and the client/s in the event the drone crashes and damages property or persons. Flight insurance is very different than general business liability or professional liability insurance, and it is exceedingly rare that a general business or professional liability insurance will cover the flying of or any damage done by a drone. All Things Aerial carries a $1,000,000 full flight liability insurance and are happy to provide a copy to our clients upon request. All of our drones & equipment are also fully insured.

ARE THERE ANY PLACES A DRONE IS NOT ALLOWED TO FLY?
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER ON THE DATE OF FLIGHT?

For safety and security reasons, there are several areas where drones are prohibited from flying. Drones are not allowed to fly in or over state parks, national parks, government buildings, and near airports. Prior to scheduling, our drone pilots will verify that the client’s desired location is safe and legal to fly in and not in a restricted airspace (no-fly zone). Drone pilots are also prohibited from flying over crowds without a waiver. Our pilots are trained and permitted to fly at night. The maximum altitude our drones are allowed to fly is 400 feet. If you have any questions about restrictions or compliance, please feel free to contact us. We keep up to date on current FAA regulations and ensure all rules and regulations are followed at all times. Safety is always priority!
In the event of bad weather, we will gladly reschedule your flight for another date or time. Our drones can fly in temperatures of 0° to 40°C (32° to 104°F). Drones are not able to fly in rain or snow, but can fly in windy conditions of no more than 30 mph. Your drone pilot will determine whether or not the drone will be capable of flying safely in windy conditions. If not, we will gladly reschedule you on a more calm day. We can also fly in gusty winds, but it should be noted that in high winds may effect the stability of the photos and video images, even with 3-axis stabilization. All Things Aerial reserves the right to cease flight operations should high winds or weather pose a safety concern.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

Just let us know if you need to reschedule. We will gladly reschedule you if given 24 hours notice. You will be charged a $30 cancellation/rescheduling fee if less than 24 hours notice is given.
